Abstract
The lesson is based on CLIL methodology (teaching a subject in foreign language) - teaching and learning about the new bank service in English.
Learning Objectives
1. Students  learn and receive information  about    the new  bank service - Online Banking -  its benefits and risks;
2. Students gain knowledge of the new Vocabulary related to Online Banking. 







Learning outcomes
 Content
The students gain  knowledge about Online Banking as contemporary bank service, the advantages and disadvantages of using it by the  clients. The lesson includes also new Vocabulary  related to Online banking.
The students know how to use this bank service as clients and how  to present it to the people  as  future bank clerks.
  Communication
The first part of the lesson comprises presentation and discussion over the topic. 
The teacher uses the ICT – power point presentation and also the help of her colleagues in English and Finances for better preparation and organization of the lesson.
In the end of the lesson the students can speak easily about this topic.
  Cognition
The first part of the lesson includes project work – the students prepare themselves and present to the class information about the history, development of Online Banking and how it is used in different countries.
The second part includes the exercises.
The students gain profound knowledge and can use the new bank terms related to Online banking.

Culture
The lesson is very important for the students and for the bank clients, because it gives necessary information how Online banking helps the bank customers and facilitates the life of the busy people.

LESSON PLAN


ACTIVITY 1. Introduction of Online Banking – History of Online Banking and its development over the years all over the world and in Bulgaria. Online banking is estimated as modern and convenient service, offered by Banks to its clients in the contemporary society. The information is presented by the teacher and some students;


ACTIVITY 2. Information about the features of Online Banking – benefits and risks of Online Banking usage, as well as the recent tendencies in the development of Online Banking in Bulgaria and in the world.
  
    
ACTIVITY 3. Exercises related to Online Banking – These exercises help the students to practice their skills – Reading, listening, speaking, writing skills. The exercises include :  Reading of text about Online Banking, New vocabulary , Listening and Speaking ones. The new vocabulary is presented by the teacher; the other exercises are done by the student with the teacher’s help.


ACTIVITY 4.  Conclusion – The students made an conclusion that Online banking   provides the customer with lots of benefits - bill pays, account check-ups, transfers and others, but  the client  has to be very careful when using it. He shouldn’t provide sensitive information.
